about

---

"Colors, Senses and Noises: A Suite in 12 Movements" is the only full length album by the brazilian independent Hardcore/Punk band My Soundtracked Life.

After a self-produced/recorded/mixed/mastered and self-released demo CD-R on 2003 and a, again, self-produced/recorded/mixed/mastered and self-released single in 2004, the five young boys from the cold extreme south of the country came up with a full length record, one more time, entirely recorded at home by the band itself and a friend, that showed a distinct sound, dynamic and aggressive, mixing a wide range of influences into their Hardcore sound - from Punk Rock to Jazz, Metal to Dub, Funk to Bossa Nova - creating a collection of songs that was a standout from what was being made on the brazilian Hardcore/Punk scene at the time and even today.

---

My Soundtracked Life was a five piece diy hardcore band straight from Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil, which recorded a demo at home, a promo in a friend’s basement and a full length album at four different houses and apartments. They played 48 shows; some with great local and international acts such as Garage Fuzz (SP/BR), Colligere (CwB/BR) and Satanic Surfers (Sweden) and some in the worst places of the world. They also spent more hours than it's fair sharing cars, vans, buses and in hand made CDs and t-shirts. It started with five persons in late 2003 and stayed with the same five persons till mid 2006, when they simply stopped playing for geographical reasons. They used to play drums, bass, guitar and sang when they thought it was necessary.

Later members went to form or have been involved with Campbell Trio, Tricot, Trompa, Apanhador Só, Bosco Mantel, Bluewhite, Wannabe Jalva, Data, Colorir, Singela, Stereosound, Lyse, Belle, Aditive, among many others.
